1. 簡(jiǎn)單句的五種基本句:

如果句子只包含一個(gè)主語(yǔ)(或并列主語(yǔ))和一個(gè)謂語(yǔ)(或并列謂語(yǔ))結(jié)構(gòu),而句子各個(gè)成分都只由單詞或短語(yǔ)表示,它就是簡(jiǎn)單句。

簡(jiǎn)單句的基本句型先介紹以下幾種:

(1)主語(yǔ)+及物動(dòng)詞+賓語(yǔ)(及物動(dòng)詞后必須帶賓語(yǔ))

(2)主語(yǔ)+不及物動(dòng)詞(不及物動(dòng)詞后不能帶賓語(yǔ))

(3)主語(yǔ)+連系動(dòng)詞+表語(yǔ)

(4)主語(yǔ)+及物動(dòng)詞+間接賓語(yǔ)+直接賓語(yǔ)。

(5)主語(yǔ)+及物動(dòng)詞+賓語(yǔ)+賓語(yǔ)補(bǔ)足語(yǔ)

Do the same with the sentences in the rest of the boxes. Point out the different pats of the simple sentence.

Step 3 SB page 3 part 2 Read and discuss

Explain:

1.do some cleaning“搞衛(wèi)生”some可用the代替,即do the cleaning. 類似用法還有:do some cooking “做飯”= cook the food. do some washing=Wash some clothing. do so me shopping=go shopping.

另外注意本單元由do構(gòu)成的短語(yǔ):do some housework 干家務(wù). do farm work 做農(nóng)活。

2. Either mum or I cook supper. 不是媽媽做晚飯便就是我作晚飯。

Neither dad nor my brother helps. 爸爸不幫忙,哥哥也不幫忙。

Either A or B, “不是A就是B,要么是A要么是B。”

Neither A nor B. “A不……B也不怎么……;A既不……B也不……”

注意這兩個(gè)短語(yǔ)中,A和B的結(jié)構(gòu)類別要一致,連接主語(yǔ)時(shí),謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞需與鄰近的主語(yǔ)相一致 。如:

Neither I nor he knows it. 我和他都不知道這事。

Neither she nor I am right. 她和我都不對(duì)。

Either she or I am right. 要么她對(duì),要么我對(duì)。

而在 both A and B 中,連接兩主語(yǔ)時(shí)應(yīng)看作復(fù)數(shù)。

Both she and I are right. 她和我都對(duì)。

agree to sth. 同意某事

agree with sb. 同意某人的意見(jiàn)。

agree 后接事件名詞,用介詞 to, 跟指人的名詞或代詞用介詞 with。

如:I agree to his plan. 我同意他的計(jì)劃。

we agree with him. 我們同意他的意見(jiàn)。

4. SB Page 3, Part 2, Speech Cassette, Lesson 59. Tell the students to look at the first passage. Ask them to quickly skim the text and tell you the main idea. (It's about what each family member does to help out at home.) Play the tape and have students repeat.

Do Ex. 1 in pairs and check the answers as a class.

For Ex. 2, have the students work in small groups.

For Ex. 3, get the students to work in pairs filling in the blanks and reading the passages to each other. Encourage them to use the English phrase / think that....
